End-of-project evaluations for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)

Jan 2022 to present

Under contract with Euro Health Group (EHG) Denmark, YRH's consultant is leading a multi-disciplinary team of experts as the Team Leader for the portfolio evaluation of Pre-Exposure Prophylactic (PrEP) use of Anti-retroviral drugs for the effective prevention of HIV infection among key populations in South America and South Africa.

The projects have been implemented in South America in Brazil, Mexico and Peru and South Africa. In South America the project is generating evidence for effective scale up of PrEP in men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender women (TGW) and in South Africa inclusion of PrEP in services for adolescent girls/boys and young women/men (both AGYW and ABYM) is being implemented with a view to scale up. Both projects are contributing significantly to the body of knowledge in this area of intervention.
